Privacy Policy

ChaaiPe ("we", "us") is an app for ordering at tea shops, restaurants, coffee shops and food-court stalls: you scan a shop's QR code, order from its menu and keep an itemised bill. ChaaiPe is built and operated by Livnox. This policy explains what personal data the ChaaiPe app and its services collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect

| Profile photo (optional) | Shown on your profile. You choose it from your gallery; we only receive the photo you pick. |
| Location (approximate or precise), only while you use the app and only if you allow it | To show outlets near you. Saved addresses you add are stored with their location. |
| Camera | Only to scan QR codes at outlets. Images are processed on your device and are not uploaded. |
| Orders, bills and payments | The items you order, amounts, payment status and method, and credit ("Pattu") balances at outlets, so you and the outlet get an accurate bill. |
| Device and notification token | To send you order updates and other notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging. |
| Language preference | To show the app and send notifications in your language. |
We don't use advertising identifiers, show ads, or sell your personal data.
Who we share it with
- The outlet you order from: your name, phone number and order details, so they can serve you and bill you.
- Service providers that run parts of ChaaiPe for us: cloud hosting and storage (Amazon Web Services, India region), push notifications (Google Firebase), SMS and WhatsApp delivery, and payment gateways when you pay in the app. Payment card and UPI details are handled by the payment gateway; ChaaiPe does not store them.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account exists. When you delete your account, your name, phone number, email, photo, saved addresses, QR code and notification tokens are deleted straight away. Bills for orders you placed stay with the outlets as their sales and tax records, no longer linked to your profile, and an outlet's own credit ledger may keep an entry it needs to settle an amount owed.
Deleting your account
In the app: Profile → Delete account. Or on the web: delete your ChaaiPe account.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored on access-controlled servers. Sign-in uses one-time passwords and short-lived tokens.
Your choices
- Location, camera, photos and notifications are optional; you can turn them off in your phone's settings.
- You can view and edit your name and phone number in the app, and delete your account at any time.
Children
ChaaiPe is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell you in the app about significant changes.
